Hello all! My name is James and I work at a European import vehicles auto repair shop and salvage yard in Tennessee.
I joined the forums primarily because I work in the office at my job and I personally have minimal technical knowledge of the vehicles or their related parts. Because Jaguar is one of my shop's specialties, I felt these forums could be a good resource. My main duties revolve around managing the inventory and advertising used and new parts for sale (and other general web management for the company), but as there are many gaps in my knowledge when it comes to returning customers or potential new customers contacting me to inquire about parts, I figured it might serve me to have another avenue through which to ask questions other than dragging our mechanics away from their work to help answer questions.
If my username or anything else violates any forum rules regarding adverts or anything like that, let me know and I will take the proper steps to change it. Anyways, nice to be here and I look forward to expanding my knowledge about Jaguars!

Welcome to the forum.
As long as you don't advertise, try to sell any parts, post any commercial contact details, or solicit for business, you should be OK.
You can learn a lot around here, could be a good thing too, if you only have 'minimal knowledge' of the parts that you are selling!
If you are wanting to push your business, please contact our forum Admin re Vendorship Terms.

Thanks for the welcomes, guys! I'll look into adding a more interesting signature when I get a chance, but as each question I come up with is as like to be about a different model, there aren't really any specific car details I can add. I'll be sure to check out my regional section as well - I've read the forum rules and I will refrain from advertising unless/until I work out a possible vendorship with the forums.
Thanks again for the friendly welcomes guys, look forward to learning a lot here! =)
