HI,

so my name is Fabien, and i help a friend who has a small used car shop to fix small things whenever i have some time

Today i got the keys of a Jaguar S-Type / 2002 / 3.0 liter , with a Navigation system defective ( black screen) and a real swiming pool in the trunk ( lol !)

By searching on the internet i found the Jaguar Enthusiast forum and dediced to register in order to try to give this car it's electronics life back )

I did not know Jaguars before and i have to admit that it's pretty pleasant and well integrated, but electronics modules on the bottom of the trunk where the spare tire is was maybe not a good option ( totally corroded, will need ultrawaves washing..)

Hi Fabien and welcome to the forum.

I'd skip the ultrasound wash and try finding replacement modules. If you head over to the S type forum I'm sure they'll be able to help.

It sounds a bit of a job you have, my only tip would be to strip and dry everything 110% before plugging anything in (I know its obvious!) Also note the parts/module numbers and do a search on ebay.co.uk for used replacements. It might be a bit more expensive, but a lot less faulty.
