Hi All,

Just joined this morning, looking forward to reading up on a whole new forum's worth of information...

One question though...

Is there a reason why everything is soooooooo painfully slow to load? Every page takes 1-2 mins (literally) to load up. It makes browsing a bit of a chore!

It's nothing to do with my computer or connection (that I'm aware of) as all other sites and forums are displayed instantly.

Does anyone else experience this, and is it the norm here, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

*EDIT* And why do all apostrophes appear as quotation marks in the final post???

 

Hello and welcome to this forum Honeyman. It takes a short while to load up sometimes but not always. Keep with it I sure it is only temporary.

 

Thank you twojags, it's nice to see a familiar name on here.

It has just taken me ten minutes to be able to load the page to reply to you successfully!

 

It is a bit slow at the moment.

You will also recognise, Cadillac, Owen, Moodyjag and have seen Capri lurkingand a few others as well.

It's all related to the software issue and I believe that admins to take care about the problem quite soon .
I also temporarily having posting issues but this forum itself is just great

 

If you have anything slower than a DSL connection, it will be real slow..the up grades are/will be installed soon to fix this (I hope)

Yes, there are a few problems with the site that have been ongoing, and may be for a short time yet before the upgrade takes place.
Its a great forum though with plenty of info, friendly faces n humour too, so hopefully you'll stick around.
