Hi, my name is Richard, Originally from the UK I now live in Napier - New Zealand, with my beautiful wife. I have just brought a 1997 XJ Sport 3.2 (hence my forum name). This is my first Jaguar. I have just uploaded a few photo's.
I collected it a couple of days ago and drove it down from Auckland (about 450 km's to Napier. It was a great journey, although most of it was in the dark.
I found this forum while searching for an an answer to the issue that the car does have, namely there is evidence of oil by the differential on one side, however, there is no sign of any oil on the ground even after my trip from Auckland. I will be taking it to my mechanic this week to see what the problem is. Anyway, great to be on this forum.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum Richard,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. The XJ Sport looks good. I hope the oil by the diff doesn't turn out to be anything more than an output shaft seal.

Follow this link XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 section for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia / New Zealand Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ew-zealand-51/ to find other members in your part of the World.

Enjoy the forum.
