Hello all. Just discovered this forum and read through some posts and it looks like a great community. I'm actually doing all of this on behalf of my mom, who's BEYOND computer illiterate <sigh>. I tried to show her, I said "use the mouse and click on...", to which she replied, "use the what?" <double sigh>.

Anyway, she drives a 1995 XJS convertible. It's getting up there in age and mileage and she's starting to run into minor problems here and there. My dad's been taking it to this one mechanic. He's happy with the guy, my mom's not. My dad said it's just the car being old, my mom said that maybe he doesn't know Jaguars. I figure the truth is somewhere inbetween, so here I am looking to get help from people that KNOW Jaguars!

Haha! Thanks! Yep. This was the topic of our dinner conversation last night. After listening to them bicker for a while, I was like, why don't you get online. I'm SURE there's a great Jaguar community out there. My mom hates computers, my dad couldn't be bothered, so here I am doing the work for them

Thanks! Will give that section a shot now. Starting with the "South US" section first to see if anyone knows a good service center/garage shop that specializes in Jaguars.

Welcome to the forum.

Well we do have some members in Atlanta, so someone should be able to advise on a good shop.

You'll find some great guys in the XJS section, tons of tips and tricks, and shed loads of good honest information to help you out.

Good to have you with us.

Welcome.
I'm new here, but I recall a few mod shops beig mentioned in Atlanta.
However, if you just need service and whatnot you might be best just going to the dealer.
Idk for sure though.

Welcome aboard. "the truth is somewhere inbetween" Quite likely that applies to 99% of life. Anyways, take pride in helping out your Mom. Nalley Jaguar is a sponsor on here. We know how great Dan has been with parts. If Ma and Pa get in a spat about who is to service the aging Cat maybe sneak it away...of course who ever is paying usually wins the battle of where it goes.

Welcome to the forum. It is very kind of you to help your parents out.

And dog gone, mohrd beat me to it. Nalley Jaguar (at least the parts dept.) has nothing but great reviews! Give their service dept. a try, and report back to us!

Enjoy all the site has to offer!

Haha! Nice! Yeah, dad pays the bills, BUT he has to answer to mom too, so we'll see!

Cool. Yeah, I'll probably at least tell them to give Nalley Jaguar's service department a shot. We'll see if they listen.
