Just joined as a very enthusiastic owner of a pristine 1975 factory 4 speed manual V12 XJ-S. This was a press car until 1978 and featured in many period magazines - of which I have multiple original copies.

I first saw this car advertised in 1992 - shortly afetr it arrived in Australia - and have wanted it ever since. I finally acquired this car last year and have its full history including every owner. The car has had huge money spent on maintenance by a previous owner. I will shortly restore the interior - when tha is done the car will present extremely well. It is mecganically A1 and drives extremely well. After 4000RPM it just takes off and keeps going.

I am a research enthusiast and have a huge amount of information about this car and, in particular, 1975 XJ-S manuals. I am always on the lookout for more info on these cars. I have read some data posted elsewhere by Bleasie and would like him to contact me to discuss it.

Will post regularly and am keen to exchange discussion about 1975 manual V12's in particular
cheers
Brett

Welcome to the forum Brett. Sounds like you scored quite a deal! I wish mine had the four speed in it!

Default many thanks

Hi
Many thanks gents - yes I am very smitten with my ride - My research shows it was the 2nd V12 manual to leave the factory - and it is immaculate.

I have a photo which I tried to upload but it keeps failing. Will keep trying.

I have a question - I bought some new key blanks ans want to get them cut by code rather than copy existing keys. Does anyone know where I find the door, boot and ignition key codes?

thanks
Brett

Here is a photo taken soon after I purchased my car. You will notice the non-original clam mirror is still fitted. I have since replaced it with the original style. I have had the whels repolished and will soon have the interior refurbished. It has a beautiful non-standard steering wheel. I've bought a brand new original (came in a Leyland box) but haven't fitted it yet.

Will upload more pics when it's all done.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
