New member - Automotive Engineer in Southwest UK
Hello all.
Looking to build up V6 and V8 engines, I know the products (I worked for Jaguar for 3 years 2002 to 2004, for Aston Martin from 2004 to 2012, and after a short stint in Purgatory (BMW Oxford) I went back to JLR for a couple of years.
I like 60s and 70s cars and am enjoying the renaissance of 'Retromods'. I do fancy finding an S1/S2 XJ6 and turn it into an XJV8...
... and such a car is deserving of a good looking powerplant.
While I know there are camshafts for the V6, V8s seem to be a bit trickier to find parts for. This seems odd to me, the AJ-V8 seems to be the next Rover V8.
Anyhow - nice to be here.
