Hi - I am new and just joined up, as I am having a difficult time getting my silver 2006 x-type sportwagon repaired, so wanted to find out if I could get suggestions, etc.
I have already gotten great info about how to figure out a warning light so many thanks for all the data! This is not my strength so please excuse any naive or dense questions.

Welcome to teh forum.

The X Type boys/girls will certainly explain in whatever detail is needed to sort your issues.

I have no insight into the X, so will stay out of it.

Enjoy your car and time here.

Welcome to the forum Phil,

No such thing as a naive or dense question where a Jaguar is concerned. They can be cantankerous and mysterious beasts!

Sounds like you've already found your way to the X-Type section to find info on the warning light but if not, follow Norri's link there to post a question about this new fault.

Hope you get the answer and it's an easy fix.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
