Hi all,

I ordered my X-Type in September of 2001 and took delivery in December of 2001 (it's a 2002 model). It's got black metallic paint and a gray interior, looks awesome.

Over the years my commute has ranged from very short to zero, so even with a nice long road trip every year there are only about 40,000 miles on the car and it's in excellent shape.

I was thinking about buying a new car, but with all the automotive changes coming down the pipeline it seems that keeping my Jag for a few more years might be the best thing to do. As a result I've been catching up on a few little things that needed to be done and this forum has been a big help in answering some questions. I look forward to becoming an active participant.

Welcome,

Good X-Type section here, lots of sharp people! I had an 02 sport with a manual. I regret every day selling it.

Best,

Mine is also a manual transmission. I seem to remember hearing that the X-Type is the only Jag with a manual option? Also, the only Jag with AWD. It really hugs the road like the proverbial cat.

Welcome to the Forum Tiger. Nice low miles you have there, I'd hang on to it.

Tiger88 - Welcome, I noticed a post of yours today on the X-Type Forum. Which part of CA are you in, the top, middle or bottom bit?

Rob,
I live in Marin County, San Francisco Bay Area. Marin is the first county on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a really nice place to live, but kind of expensive.

Your're not that far away.

Some agreement growing for a possible Northern California get-together.
