New member from Canada
Hi everyone! My name is Yves Marion. I live in the greater Montréal region, in the province of Québec. A few years ago, I owned a 1984 XJ6 that I got for free since it had a major engine problem (no compression in cylinder #5). After a few months of hesitation, I decided to sell it for parts.
I suscribed to this forum because my interest in this particuliar model is still present. This summer, I began to search in the local ads and hopefully, I will drive one next summer!! I looking for a V12 this time.
Thank you for reading this intro!

Welcome to the forum Yves,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Members in the XJS tech forum are very knowledgeable on the V12 ( XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum ). A wonderful engine when running correctly but complex to maintain or repair. I had an early XJ12 Series I and the fuel consumption of 8 mpg terrified me after a few months!
You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link Canada - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Many thanks to you folks!! I am really happy to be part of this group.
Thank you for the upgrade Jim! I already had the chance to read the excellent Buyer's Guide by Doug Dwyer.
Comment ça va, Mikey? I have read that you lived in Saint-Bruno. I live in Mont-Saint-Hilaire... Too bad you moved to Ontario, we could have met and enjoyed a cold one...
Ce n'est que partie remise!
Is there any regional meetings sometimes?
