hello all, in my teens and 20's a had a number of English sports cars, triumphs, mg's and two morgans but my dream car was always an xke but could never afford one. now retired with not enough to do, I suppose, I was looking at classic English cars on the web and realized that I have the funds to buy an old E.


earlier in the year I missed buying two that were up for sale by not pulling the trigger fast enough. in November I saw an ad come up on ebay for a 69 yellow fhc. I called the owner and agreed to pay her reserve price if she would hold it until I got there and i 4 hours I was on a plane to Hawaii. oddly enough she plans to do the ironman triathlon next year, something I did 32 yrs ago and we really connected.


this beautiful E is on the boat on it's way to southern Colorado's can luis valley where I plan to drive it and bring it up to show condition over time. I have never participated in a forum before but this looks impressive. I am sure I will have plenty of questions for more experienced owners, so thanks in advance. bill
