I'm not only new to the forums but a new Jaguar owner. I just bought a 2000 xk8. I'm interested in knowing what I can expect from this, my "dream car"

Congratulations on the XK8.

You can expect a lot of enjoyment and some pain. The exact ratio depends on how well the PO maintained it and how well you continue to do so.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues. On a 2000MY, look out for info on tensioners and cooling system issues - the two main problem areas.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
