New member (and first time owner)
A few weeks ago, I purchased my first four-door car, a silver 2005 XJR (X350, supercharged 4.2L V8, 255/35/20 tires).
Two years ago, my wife and I decided to (at long last) have a child. I traded in my beloved daily driver (a c5 corvette hardtop) for a 2004 GTO. Ten months wrenching a baby car seat in and out of the minuscule monaro rear seat was ridiculous. Maybe a coupe didn't fit into my life anymore, so I re-evaluated my requirements for a daily driver.
Given those criterion, an XJR was the most mature, sensible choice. (It didn't hurt that I'd always wanted a Jaguar.)

- It would need more than two doors (to permit insertion of a child seat)
- Ample legroom (to allow a passenger in front of the baby)
- Be reasonably fast (in case my daughter got into trouble at day care and we needed a quick getaway)
- Have responsive handling (without which my fragile mind might break)
- Not break the bank (I've recently discovered that babies literally eat money) I set the upper limit at $40k.
Given those criterion, an XJR was the most mature, sensible choice. (It didn't hurt that I'd always wanted a Jaguar.)
