Default New Member....hello everyone

I just joined the forum. I own a 1999 XJ8. I bought it new and it now has 192,776 miles on it and it still looks like new. This is my 3rd jag and I've always had Mark 7's and 1 Mark VIII. I will never buy anything else but a Jag.
As soon as I'm allowed to upload photos I will post pics.....
I've put DVD players in the headrests
I put a leaper in the new headliner I designed and installed myself.
Tweaked the engine somewhat to create 360+ hp
and a lot of other small tweaks

Am hoping to get to know all of you and have a great friendship with my fellow jagsters.

Welcome to the forum voovoo. That's impressive mileage! Can we presume you've replaced the secondary timing chain tensioners...? If not, please read related posts. These tend to fail around 90-100k miles. I've got a 99 with 160k miles, and looking for quite a few more. Enjoy the forum, there's plenty of good members with good advice. Share when you can.

voovoo, welcome to the forums. Get in touch with the XJ guys here. They will be able to tell you a lot about the car and the common things to watch out for with the car. So, sit back, get a cup of joe and enjoy. I think you will find us a jolly group to be around.

Welcome to the forum voovoo,

I think we need to see pics of that headliner and the other mods.

Default tensioners

Ralph,
The tensioners have never been replaced,at least since I've had it. I'm not sure when they were aware of the cracking problem with it but it was a demo when I bought it which was about a year and a half after its mfg date

I don't know if the pic shows up or not but this is my jag @ 180k miles. I will post more pics.

Can anyone tell me how to upload pics? It's telling me I don't have permission

Welcome to the forum!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
