OK, so this past Wednesday(01/14/15) I pulled the trigger and purchased a used (99,000 mi.) 2004 3.0L X-type, and I am LOVING it.
As with any used car there are bound to be issues, for example, I received NO owners manuals with the vehicle,so I can hardly wait to learn what all those buttons do(it took me 45 minutes to figure out how to play the radio proficiently, thank heavens for Google).
I look forward to the journey ahead, and I hope to bring as much to these pages as I take away.

P.S. not yet sure if my signature is as required, but as soon as i figure out how to work the cigar lighter, and how to close my "Boot"(whatever that is) I'll make any changes there If I can find out where to do that.
