Welcome to the forum tommy3,

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-17/ to the XK8/XKR section for help and advice.

In particular look at the buyer's checklist by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...k-links-20090/. It's for the XJ8/XJR but has a good checklist.

All Jaguars are stunning. Most look shiny. Try to see beyond that when assessing a potential purchase. Service History is crucial. Ideally you want to know what's been done to it from new or get good explanations for any gaps.

Good luck and I hope in your next post you're able to tell us about the Jaguar you've just purchased.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Looks a tidy example in the Ad.

Is that typical pricing / value in Australia?

$39000 is £25000. I could buy three for that over here!

Nice Jag Tommy, Good luck with it! Even though I am a big time drop top head, I think the XK8 looks best in coupe form.

Sounds like a fair trade to me.

What 'disc' are you looking for?

Jaguar SatNav update discs are a frustration and annoyance to many owners across the model range.

This thread outlines some of the difficulties with sourcing and then failing Australia update discs:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...stralia-31088/

The answer looks to be that technology has moved but Jaguar hasn't kept up.
