Hello all, new member here. I have a 2006 XJ8, my second Jaguar now. My first was a 1998 XJ8. Both have been black. Traded the '98 on the '06 because the engine was going sour and it just had too many niggling issues. Loved that car even despite all that. Then new(er) one is even better. I just love the interiors, they are so rich!

I am a bit of a forum junkie so it was only natural that I join. I guess the protocol here is to post in the new member section first, but unfortunately I'm having some issues as well: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...27/#post564425

Hoping to learn/share other info as well; the car is mostly perfect but there are a few minor issues that hopefully I can get some help with from the forum here. Planning on keeping this one for a while but would like to move into an XF down the road. Thanks all!

That's the protocol so all members see newbies and not just those in the same model section.

The XJ looks great - driver's seat look as as if it's never been used!

Yes, the car was in remarkable shape for its mileage when I got it last year. It had 79,000 miles on it, but you couldn't tell. It came directly to Illinois from Arizona so the little bit I drove it last winter was presumably the first snow it had seen. Unfortunately that also meant that the only option it does not have besides nav (which I didn't want anyway) was seat heaters! My wife loved the seat heater in the '98 (my side didn't work!).
