New member intro 2003 XKR 4.2
Well here goes nothing! I just bought my first Jag, after 65 very long years.
I got a black, black roof, tan interior XKR beauty here in Okeechobee, southern Florida. The car comes from Tennessee to West Virginia to Tampa to me.
It was garaged and looks very well cared for, fast and quiet. I have some of the normal stuff to do, like 4 wheel alignment because the rear tires wear on the inside.
The under tray and air dam need to be replaced, and The passenger side airbag cover is starting to lighten up a little, I think because of a hairline crack.
I have already gotten some good tips on refinishing the wood, so I might try it myself. I have wrenched on a number of cars through the years, including the typical MG, Triumph 250, Volvo P1800, Fiat 124, Mazda Miata, and one you have not heard of, a DB, (DEE BEE, Deutch Bonnet), a vintage racer from France.
I do everything myself, so I will need help and advice from everyone in the future.
I will post pics soon.
This is my week end and fun car, so I will join local Florida clubs too. See you soon.
