Glad to be among you. My wife and I are new to the forum, but not to Jaguar. Unfortunately, we have never had a new one, but it doesn't take a genius to realize there's nothing like a Jag. Our first was a '91 XJ6, which we bought with 96K on it, kept for 10 years and eventually donated to help needy kids in Kansas City.

Tomorrow we are going to St. Louis, MO, about 177 miles (we live near Marshall, MO) to look at a 2003 XJ8 with 23K on it.

I wonder if anyone has advice for little things to look for.

Yesterday we picked up the car: A gorgeous 2003 XJ8 with a little over 23K miles. It only has a few small rubs on the bumpers and the psgr side mirror has superficial paint rub, otherwise, the car is like from the showroom.

This dealer (just met him yesterday, not affiliated, don't own any interest, etc.) specializes in high end European cars, including an old Rolls worth just under 500K. Neat stuff! If anyone is ever in St. Louis, MO, you have to stop by and see.
