New member intro
I apologize for jumping in and posting in the XJ40 section before posting an intro here. Didn't mean to break protocol. Anyway I have a 1991 Van den Plas that I bought used in 1997. I have also owned a 94 XJS that I have since sold. I have done all sorts of maintenance and repairs over the years partly as a hobby, partly out of economy and partly as there has not been a convenient dealership or Jag mechanic in our area. I feel like I know the car fairly well, but then it can always throw you a new wrinkle. The last few years I have just had too many commitments so the last time the Jag blew its head gasket I let it sit for a few years. Now its making me pay. I have replaced the head gasket but the fun is just beginning.....

Welcome to the family. Don't worry about the "protocol". You are not the first, you won't be the last. THe big thing is you are here and will hopefully learn even more about your kitty. So, sit back, grab a cup of Joe and enjoy the forums. I think you will find a lot of useful information here and don't be afraid to share your experiences either.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
