Thumbs up new member intro

hi my name is keith im 47 and live just outside watford. i have owned my black and cream leather p reg xk8 covertable for 5 years now and im still in love with it lol !
i keep it covered to protect it most of the year and it only goes out in the sunshine with the roof down... i work most of the time fitting kitchens and bathrooms so it realy is a treat to take her out.
the only problem ive had so far was i had to replace the pully, belt tentioner and belt after the pully broke on the way back from luxembourge .... sounded leathal but cost less than £200 and an hour to fix without removing anything except the bonnet so i was well pleased ... the other problem was water under the back seat but i think ive sorted that out by unblocking the drainage holes on the seam under the car ... hose piped it today with the rear seats removed and no sign of any water so fingers crossed its sorted.. ive had the abs light come on and a message flashing saying that theres a traction control and stabaliser fail today but ill see if it goes off tomorrow .. if anyone has a pic of the abs sensor location i would be gratefull ...

many thanks
keith

Welcome to the forum Keith,

Car looks great. Clearly a very pampered example.

That's not too many problems in five years. Hope the water hasn't done any damage to the interior trim.

Follow this link for info on the ABS sensors:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ors-faq-37434/

It's one of the items in the XK8 FAQ's where you'll find a lot more valuable information.

Don't forget to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to help you.

Graham

Welcome to the forum.

Good to see you.

Hose pipes and sensors, never a good mix.
