Default New Member - Introduction and question

Hello,

I am new to forum discussions, but have seached this site several times in an effort to sound "technically savvy" when speaking to the service manager about my vehicle. When posting, I will try to be as accuarate as possible with my limited technical jargon. I own a 2010 XF (black/black).

I am trying to locate the radio id code that is supposed to be associated with my VIN. Can anyone tell me what is involved with a software reset, and whether this is necessary if all other options on the car appear to be working as they should? Is the radio code located anywhere in the vehicle.

Welcome to Jaguar Forums oneshrtqt,

Good to have you with us.
You should ask the question in the tech section XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum and check out your regional section also Southwest US - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
USA vehicles normally don't have a radio code, of there was there would have been a card in the handbook package when the car was new, your dealer should be able to confirm, or maybe the XF guys here can.
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum oneshrtqt,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

Coded radios are very rare outside the UK although some US members report having them fitted in earlier models.

In the unlikely event your vehicle is fitted with a coded radio, your Jaguar Dealer will be able to obtain the code for you through the online Direct Dealer Warranty system.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
