I am a new member from Jersey City, NJ.


I have a 1999 Jaguar XK8 Convertible.


It gives me lots of headaches, but I've always thought this model was one of the most beautiful ever designed.


I've owned the car for 2-1/2 years and I've been a frequent reader of posts, but this is the first time I've posted myself.


I have two questions: what is the best battery to buy for a 1999 XK8? And where is a good place to buy one?


I have an Electrical Fault message and I think it might be something as simply as the battery I have not being sufficiently strong.

A failing battery can certainly be the cause of many strange electrical faults on Jaguars. I'll leave it to USA members to recommend the best source for a replacement in NJ.

It sounds like you already know your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
