I just personally love older European cars, whether it's 80s Audis like the 4000 Quattros, GTIs, diesel Mercs, or these Jags. It's why I always browse daily used car sites for local Winnipeg cars.

Other then that, checking out the car this weekend and if I like it, I will take it to a shop that specializes in restoring and maintaining classic British cars.

Welcome to the forum.

We can always give you 'used' advice, but the guys in the XJ40 section are pretty hot with 'new' advice.
