I have never owned a Jaguar but am interested in an '02 XJ8. I will go look at it this week but in the mean time does anyone have advice on what I should be looking for? The car has 92,000 miles and appears well kept with a clean Carfax. It can be found here:

Welcome general, those type of model specific questions will get more responses over in the X308 section, so drop by there and they members will lead you to either a FAQ (frequently asked question) thread with lots of new buyer information/links, or you'll get a few items here and there from recent buyers that also just joined.

Enjoy your stay, and of course the new XJ when you find one. The 03 is even better, gets you the latest metal timing chain tensioners which the earlier ones had a older generation. Other than that, I can't give you much else, except that the engine and the transmission are also found in the XK8 of 97-2006, so you can get some cross reference info on the drivetrain over in that subforum area....if you need it.
