Default New member, looking for some input.

I'm finally in the postion to buy a Jaguar, but I'm trying to decide between two different ones:

A 1988 XJS or a 1986 XJ6.

Both are the same price, same (low) mileage, and both are being sold by people I know, people who took exceptionally good care of them.

My heart says the XJS, but my brain says the XJ6 might be easier to maintain, since there are more of them on the road.

Any thoughts?

Hi Protea! Welcome to the forums.

You'll get lots of greeting here, but little input on your question if any.

How about an intro about yourself and then re-post your question into the XJ40 Section, you'll get some responses there for sure.

Good luck!

Default Thanks

Thanks for the input. I'll try again:

I just registered on the forum. I've always wanted to own a Jag, but my practical streak kept me from making the move. Now I'm at the point where I can live a little, as well a feeling like I finally deserve the car I want.

Welcome.

Hmmm, XJS or XJ. That is a difficult one. The XJS is quirky fun and the XJ is stately. How about both The XJ is probably more practical, but if you don't need practical then go XJS.

as said what a choice but if you want fun go for the XJS if we was ruled by our brains we would all have hybred things or what we call Euro boxes

Welcome protea ++ on all the above. I see that you have posted over in the XJ sections, you should get some replies from the guys.

Keep us posted with what you decide to do, and of course some pics are a must, when you get through the short qualifying period.

All the best,
