Smile New Member Looking for a X305 XJ12

Greetings all, I am new to this forum but have visited a few times to gather information about my favorite XJ12. I am looking to purchase a low mileage (under 80,000) 1995-1996 XJ12. I have been looking in the usual places such as AutoTrader, E-Bay and Hemmings. Specifically, I am looking for dark green, black, burgundy or silver. I understand this is a rare vehicle to get particular about color however, I'd like to find something as close as possible. My family has owned a few Jaguars in the past, all of them were great cars however, my favorite was a dark green 1996 XJ12. I miss it and would like to find one like it. Does anyone have any additional suggestions as to where I could also look for this model or is anyone here currently an owner looking to sell? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum JJM1,

This section gets a lot of views so I hope anyone who knows of an XJ12 for sale will respond.

I know you've already found your way to the X305 section so no need for a link.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region section by following this link Southwest US - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome to the forum - a great choice of Jaguar, I know of a carnival red one for sale, but it's UK RHD and about 5,000 miles away! Being in an oil state helps run one of those fantastic engines!

Welcome to the forum JCM1.

I can't imagine running a V12 with our fuel prices.

But hey, as Sean says, the X305 has a fantastic engine.

End of an era IMHO.

Thank you for the suggestions. I plan to keep looking for the perfect one. I found a 1996 close to me with only 37,000 miles but it was sold by the time I called. I'm not too worried about fuel as I'm used to driving larger cars & SUV's and fortunatly I live close to where I work. I love the smoothness of the V12; I think it's worth it. I'm more concerned about maintainance and finding parts. This would not be a daily driver however when I use it I will be driving it in the manner it was meant to be driven.
