Hello everyone!

I thought I would join up here and introduce myself. My name is Marc, and I live in NC. I currently do not have a Jaguar, but am buying one next week.

It is a 2002 XK8, Platinum in color, and in excellent condition.

I used to ride motorcycles and finally gave that up due to the way people drive around here. I have been run off the road 4 times by people not paying attention, and luckily was never injured.

I am excited about owning my first Jag, and probably will not sleep until it arrives next week.

Hope to be an active member here, and I will post pics when I take ownership.

You are not alone, I purchased my Jag and had to wait two weeks to fly down and pick her up. Longest 2 weeks of my life!

Follow Norri's link in post #7 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks everyone! Seems the issue with the cat I wanted to by was a faulty/clogged O2 sensor. The current owner has had it replaced and the ODBII is not throwing any other codes atm.

I take ownership this Tuesday morning, and am looking forward to it!

I will be one of the great group of 'Cat' owners very soon. I was a 'Kat' owner before in my motor cycle days (first bike).

Going to take the new Cat for an extended test drive on Monday! if all goes well, I should have this car in my garage by 12 PM on Tuesday.

I hate to say it, as im an easy going guy, but I am stressed!

Thanks! I will get a better picture. I was stressed in that pic, as I was still waiting on the other buyer to pay for my truck. He did not end up calling me until about 15 minutes before the banks closed for the day.

I am VERY happy about owning my first Jag, and if the weather holds out tomorrow I will take a better pic, with a big grin on my face!

 

I purchased her yesterday, and I am smiling ear to ear!

So far, I LOVE my Cat, she is just beautiful, and a head turner (mostly mine )

 

I, too, just bought my first Jag after years of looking for the right one. The 2004 XJR has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I live just outside of Camp Lejeune. I know there aren’t many Jags out my way, so I don’t know the market for the community. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can link up.
