Default new member need a little help

by the way hello.
i just bought a 1996 xj6 and i need to replace the shocks. can some please help me with a video or photo essay, even a service diagram on the best way to do this. and where does the top of the shock mount. do you get to it from the trunk or do i have to take out the back seat

sorry for not doing a full intro, now that i took the time and read the intro i understand and appreciate. this is my second jag xj6, 102,000 miles, im a office admin. by day, and a tow company g.m. by night and weekend. i live in the san francisco area. thank you for this forum. i cant afford the 150.00per hour mechanic charges, and love to do it myself. i have access to a full repair shop with lift. thank god for that. anyway thanks again

Thank you for all your help, i got the rear shocks done in 5hrs. Yes it alot of elbow grease, but at the end of it i loved every minute of it. I could not have done it with out the photo essay link form graham

There's not much on these vehicles that owners can't fix with a basic toolkit, determination and the information on the forum. You've got much better facilities available than most here!
