hello,

a few months ago I got myself a jaguar XJ6, with a 4.2 liter engine from 1970. Very cheap because it wasn't really running and needed some work. Exactly what I was looking for.

This is it, when we picked it up.



Now it's standing in an old barn, where I'm trying to get it running.




About me: I'm a college student, 24 years old. Since I got my drivers license I have had several classic cars.

A Citroen ami (1974),
Volkswagen T2 (1973, I still have it),
Citroen 2CV (1976),
Citroen DS (1973),
DAF 44 (1974, I still have it)

and now a Jaguar XJ6. All these cars where in no condition to drive when I bought them, but now are, or were when I sold them so I have good confidence the Jaguar will hit the road again.

I hope you can help me out with the troubles I will encounter for sure when fixing the jag!

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. The bodywork on your XJ6 looks OK and that's usually the problem area in our northern European climate. Your past list of 'successes' tells me this XJ6 will definitely hit the road again!

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
