Hello all,
I've had a 2014 V8S for a little over a year but have kept to reading forum posts and not partaking in them. With my factory warranty coming to a close soon I've started on some modifications and was hoping to learn from what others have done. So far I've debadged, put in BMC filters, and had Brandon from ECU Tuning Group stop by for their pulley and ECU/TCU tune. I could use some guidance on lowering springs and spacers from your experiences. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum David,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

As you've already found your way to the F-Type forum, there's no need for a link to it from me
.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome. You've gotten all the hello's and welcomes but no body has answered the question yet. And it's not going to be me either because I'm further back than you and have not yet decided on mods yet. I will subscribe to thread and am interested in replies. I'm also curious on your opinions on what you have done so far. If I were to modify the car I was going to stop where you are now. Did you dyno before and after? Do you notice a difference in 0-60? I will switch to the Michelin 4s tires that everyone here lauds but I have plenty of tread on my P0's and not in a rush. But traction is an issue and certainly when trying to put power to the road while turning. Not sure if I add horse power will I be able to get it to the ground or just drift all over the place.

I did not dyno before or after and have not done any runs with the ol' Gtech yet...but it's noticeably faster. The power is across the map and all gears....not just a surge of out of place boost...so it's not unmanageable. One of the best parts about the ECU tune from ETG, and others I'm sure, is that it bumps the V8s map up to something like an SVR map and then adjusts for the boost added by the pulley.
I haven't seen much chatter about TCU tuning but they did a great job with tune on the ZF transmission shift points and firmness...its feels better...more positive.
I still have P0's up front but I did put Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the rear to reduce slip and sliding. More power...more sideways...more fun.

Gentlemen,

This is a discussion best continued in the F-Type forum. A new thread is the apposite method.

The New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum is a place for newbies to tell us something about themselves and their vehicles and for us to give some pointers on using the forum. Technical exchanges here will get lost and, more importantly probably not be seen by other members with the same model who are likely to be interested and contribute to the discussion.
