Default New member...Not yet a Jag owner

I've been looking at Jag's since I was 18 but was never in the position to own one. Recently life has settled and I think it's time to reassume the notion of owing a Jag.

I've had my same Accord since I was 18 and it's been super reliable so it'll be staying around as the daily driver, the Jag will stay a weekend/fun car. I live in Westminster, CO, a Denver suburb, so snow is a reality but the Jag will live under a car cover those days.

I really havent decided between eith er an X-Type or an S-Type, is either more reliable? I dont seem to see as many "problem" threads in the S-Type forum FWIW

Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can and making a wise decision when buying my Jag.

Each should have positive and negative points , X Type could suffer from transfer case from abusing . You better scour the forums and check out FAQs at the top of each forum
I wish you will not become disgruntled with your choice

I don't want to either. This is why I'm really spacing this out and trying not to jump at every "good" deal I see. Thanks for the heads up on the X-Type Xfer case.

Also, I can't seem to view a lot of the attached pictures in the FAQ threads. Is there anyway to fix that on my account, give the suffucent privileges, so I can view the FAQ's correctly? I just wanna learn as much as possible

I have an X-type, the transfer case was replaced before i got it. when it snowed in Seattle my kitty kicked ***! So my advice to you is get the one you like best as long as its AWD, and if the deal is to good to be true, it probebly is.

Hey there welcome to the forum Total...., In the words of the song, "Have a little patience" and all will be revealed.

Good luck with your search I wouldn't mind either. You may see more problem hits in the X Type section because there are more cars.

And a really rare thing happened today, I actually saw an X Type and then later an S Type on the road!

Welcome to the forum,

I'd advise the S, but I'm totally biased.

Only reason I ask is because I saw in a previous thread a mod had upgraded a new members account to have access to such things and I figured it'd be nice to fully read all the FAQ's

Just for info, none of the Mod's can upgrade anyone's membership status only the forum Administrator has this facility.

Hang in there, and keep posting, you'll get there.
