Hello to all, I am 2 weeks into my Jaguar experience having just purchased a '96 Vanden Plas with only 19,000 km. This car has never seen rain let alone snow, it is in fine fine shape.

Here is my problem, I left the lights on and drained the battery 2 dys ago. After charging the battery to full charge, I can't even get a click when I try to start it. Is there some kind of reset or something that I don't know about?? I am diying to drive it.

Any ideas folks

Hello and welcome to the forum Deanman. You'll probably have better luck finding answers over under the models section (X300 I think?)

Hi Steve and welcome. Happy Canada Day also!

My guess is that your battery became too far discharged to be salvageable. Borrow a spare and see if it will start with that.

Default Thanks for the welcome, sorry for misposting

Hello and thanks for the welcome. My original post was born out of frustration and a proper introduction I did not offer, for that I apoligize.
All is well now, the car's security system required a reboot and it started immediately.
I am pleased to join this forum and look forward to seeing the many fine auto's that you folks own and enjoy. I live in Grimsby On. with my wife and own a trucking company, Dean Cartage Inc.
My '96 Vanden Plas was a Florida car and only used a few times a year. The owner was a local business associate who collects cars like some collect wine. Pics and chat to follow this week.

Take care
Steve Dean
