Welcome from down in TX Harry.

As for your key fob mating question, I am not sure on the newer XKs. There is a procedure we pre-06 owners follow, you can find that one in the FAQ thread at the top of the XK8-XKR forum. Otherwise, you may want to post your question in the 07+ XK section and hope you can get some advice there.
