Well it's official. Took delivery today. 1973 Series 1 XJ6 with manual gearbox. Drove her a little. So far so good. I see some things that need attention but nothing major: exhaust leak somewhere, front suspension thunk.

Looks better than my 1972 Series 1 did in 1975. The combination of rain through the Summer and road salt through Winter killed them quickly in England.
