Hi everyone,
If the inspection goes according to plan I'm hopefully going to soon be the owner of a lovely '99 XKR.

As far as prior Jag experience goes I've previously owned an XJ6 a few years back and it still ranks as one of my favourite cars. Have had more economical (and less fun) cars in the interim but just can't stop drooling at XK8 and XKRs on eBay and Autotrader.

Would have been more than happy with an XK8 but seem to have found a well looked after XKR at the right price and I just couldn't resist. So fingers crossed, all being well I'll have more news after the weekend!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Well I picked the car up on Monday and haven't been able to wipe the grin off my face since!

There are a few of the usual jobs to be done (condensation in the headlights etc) but I absolutely love it.

I'm pleased to hear the deal worked out.

Jaguar never really resolved the condensation problem but with lights being used more in the Winter, both my XK8's headlight glasses stayed reasonably clear.

Enjoy it.
