Hello to all of the fine ladies and gentlemen of the forums.

I've been lurking about on this site for a few months since I bought my '87 V12 XJS in June. She's quite the project. I've been able to answer a lot of my repair questions just by using the search function, but now that I'm a member, I'm hoping I can use everyone's collective wisdom to my advantage. My goal is to have a reliable, running, driving semi-classic V12 on a shoestring budget.

About the car:

A running but non-driving Dorchester Gray coupe with Mulberry interior. The car started and ran when I bought it, but little else. Many electronics were/are on the fritz, and it had no brakes whatsoever. As of this writing, and after much work, it's safe enough to drive around on short trips and is titled and registered.

About me:

I'm a Ford-certified mechanic, not far from becoming a Master Tech, with about 7 years experience working on cars. I'm no Jag expert, but this car is quickly turning me into one!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum EloquentShadows,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Not to worry about not being a Jag expert; by the time you get yours running you'll be one, especially with the help of our XJS section where Graham has directed you.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
