Hello everyone,

British expat from Formby, Lancashire living in Vancouver for the last 30+ years.

Last weekend I took a drive to the countryside and came home with a 1971 Mark 1 XJ6 in English White. 4.2 Auto. I would have been happier with a 4 speed but there it is.

My other car is a '66 Volvo 122S Amazon two-door in Horizon Blue. I towed her out of a field and paid $700. Everything needed replacing, practically. I converted from BW35 Auto to 4 Speed+overdrive.

But this old gal will be staying original. Engine is rough and interior is rougher. Was stored in a barn under a tarp for best part of 20 years.

Hello, Adrian,
I saw your post over in our playpen.
At least your car was in a barn under a tarp and not out under the trees somewhere. It will be in a Lot better condition than it could be.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Adrian,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
