new member xj6
I am a new member to this forum, I have a 96 XJ6 which I have owned for 9 years. i do most of my own work on it now and its not a car I plan on getting rid of soon...or ever! regardless of what the girlfriend says. It currently needs an alternator and I changed the washer motor and relay but its still not working. Those are my projects for the winter, along with new tie rods in the front. My second car is an Audi S4 which just got a new engine after the previous timing parts ruined one head and 3 pistons. Needless to say, I dont do much of the work on that vehicle, everything is just stuffed in under the hood. I did the electrical ABS module rebuild, and that was a super tight fit. My other vehicle is a 91 Chevrolet S10 Blazer for the winter, and my girlfriend has a 2004 Envoy XL that I maintain. Im planning on getting a newer XJR in the next couple years, but rear-wheel drive for a Minneapolis winter is not optimal.
Anyway, I hope to get a lot of benefit from the veteran owners/mechanics of Jags. And I do have some insight into quirks that XJ6s similar to mine have.
