New member this year
Hi, I've been lurking around on the forum for a while and have picked up a lot of very useful information. I've had my 04 XK8 convertible since March and have managed to do a little over 10,500 miles. I drive a lot, I also 4 wheel with my 04 Discovery and do a lot of shows and car club events with my 78 MGB. I think I must have put about 15,000 miles on the "fleet" this summer. The best trip was British Invasion XX in Stowe, VT with the Jaguar in September. The XK8 is a fantastic car to drive long distances! Anyway, I'm trying to get some posts in to be able to access photos and tech documents. I had access for a while and now I don't. I can't thank everyone enough for the invaluable technical resource that this site provides. Between here, MG Experience and Discoweb I'm able to do most of my own work on my cars. Thanks again!
Welcome to the Forums. I was supposed to go to British Invasion this year, but had to cancel at the last minute. A friend of mine went and collected lots of literature for me instead. I'll be there next year for sure...maybe we'll meet up for a cold one!
Best,
Best,
British Invasion was the best British car show I've ever been to! We were there for the driving tours on Thursday and Friday as well as the Friday night town party and the 2 show days Saturday & Sunday. Absolutely amazing time. I'm going to give the Jaguar a break on vacation next year so you'll have to look for a Carmine red MGB next year (supercharged and somewhat modernized). If you need a place to stay the Riverside Inn is very nice and located close to everything. As an added bonus the innkeeper is British and a Jaguar owner! It was a completely random choice to stay there last year and it worked out great.
Thanks for the info. I have a buddy in Nashua so my wife and I stay with them. He is into Lotus. I'll keep an eye out for the MGB, but we should post something up as we get closer to it next year.
Best,
Best,

Definitely a British car nut! My grandfather bought a 1970 MGB GT in 72 when I was 4. The car is mine now and almost back on the road! That was the beginning of my life long obsession. Last year I graduated to a Jaguar XJS coupe and last March I was finally able to get the XK8 I'd been after for the last several years. The Jaguar, MG's, and the Land Rover keep me busy.
Thank you for the upgrade.
