Hello everyone! My name is Spencer and I live in Cincinnati. I am a student of mechanical engineering and love tinkering with machines to see what makes them 'tick'.

I recently aquired a 1989 XJ-S V12 coupe with 143k miles from a family member (knows nothing about cars). It was parked after overheating and has been sitting for 6 years. The engine turns but compression is iffy.

Here is my wishlist:

Pull/rebuild engine
5 or 6 speed manual swap
DIY intake similar to the brass AJ6 plenum style (in archives)
DIY headers and side exhaust (optimized for sound)
electric fans
...

Hope this post is not too lengthy/inappropriate for this section. I would like to make a thread with pictures/videos explaining what I am doing but do not know if this is appropriate.

I DO NOT want to be a bother to people, I just want to share my knowledge and learn from others experience.
