Default New old car

Hey all, Just joined this forum to hopefully better appreciate a purchase I've made. I have just recentlly purchased a 1973 Jaguar E Type series 3. It is in excellant condition and I love driving it. I am hoping I've made a good decission in the purchase of the car. Again one of the reasons I am on this site now.

The car only has 77k miles on it. I suppose to me, that thats not that many miles conscidering the age but again I am hoping to find out here in this forum.
Anyways I hope this is enough info to spark the interrest of others to give my valuable info on this car and others I may conscider in the future.
Thanks: Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris,

Follow Norri's link to the E-Type section for help and advice. For the rest of us who no longer have our E-Types, pics are always appreciated.

Welcome aboard, jags4fun! I only rode in an E-Type once, when I was in England. I won't ever forget that ride either. Super car!

Welcome Chris - the sound of the V12 in it's upper rev range is one of the most intoxicating sounds your likely to hear....had the pleasure of restoring a few and converting to fuel injection, they lend themselves to modification and all sorts of upgrades from suspension, gearbox brakes etc. A truly superb car from Jaguar. Is it coupe or roadster? Let's see some pictures

A friend of mine had E-types in the 70s when we were in our 20s. At that time they were affordable in the UK but no longer ! He never had a V12 though, although I remember a chap coming alongside us in our six, with a V12 while we were in a traffic jam in London on a very hot day, so the top was down. We asked him what it was like, and he said it was very nice, but he thought it might be only running on 11 but couldn't really tell.
