Default New old guy behind the wheel of on X Type

I just purchased a 2003 X Type, 2.5, 5 speed, sunroof.
I am downsizing from a 1998 Buick Riviera.

I will be flying out to pick it up this weekend. That will be he start of a 1,026 mile road trip to get it home. It could be a fun adventure or a journey from hell, only time will tell.

Either way, I will document the mission on a web page. I will post a link once I get it going.

I'm off to do a LOT of reading on the forum.
BTW I know how to use the search function so won't be asking often asked questions. I'll just soak up a lot of knowledge.

Welcome to the forum Bud,

Downsizing! Forget that - you're moving to a quality automobile!

Hope the deal and drive home goes smoothly. Great way to get to know your new X-Type. Also a great opportunity for getting some pics to post when you get back.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

This forum is a cornucopia of Jag related information. It also seems to be quite active and international.

Pictures will be taken and trip report page generated. I'm not sure if I can post links yet or not. I guess I'll find out when I try it.

Thank you Mods and Admins for a wonderful forum.
