Man. It has been a long, long time! Glad to see yall haven’t changed it up too much and kept it cozy. 😄

I haven’t been around much since I lost my Jag in 2013, but this weekend, my son brought us around full circle and gifted me a new old S-Type. She has some issues and quirks so I plan to spend a bit of time here looking for solutions.

Hello,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar!
One might not be too surprised if a 20 year old British car has a few needs. In fact, one might be Very surprised if such a car needed nothing but fresh fuel and battery.
I wish you success.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

She’s not as bad as anticipated! Front control arms & bushings, fog lamp bulbs, and the thermostat is conveniently stuck open.

Everything else is just basic, mileage-related maintenance needs, serpentine, fluid flushes on brakes/power steering etc. Not bad for coming onto 85,000mls.
