New old Member!
I have worked on Jags since 1965, when my Dad brought home a '57 140 MC FHC, which would not shut down with the key. After gettting it sorted and driving, was hooked on the marque ever since. When I got married in '73 we bought a basket '53 120 Roadster and sold it to by the Mark 1, which we still own and is in restoration mode ( has been for a long time ) but now I have time to get it done. I have worked for a Jag shop in the 90s and have been accustomed to all Jags from the SS100 thru the XJ6s and XJSs to the 90s. Have not worked on the newer ones. I also run the newer MINI Cooper S in SCCA competition ( solo, time trials and Road Rally ). I live in Millstadt, IL. just 20 minutes East of South St, Louis.
I have accumulated an extensive used parts base from the 120 thru XJ6 and XJS and have a few OEM new parts for the XJ6 and XJS V-12 thru 85 and 89.
I also have Land Rover experience as having owned RR Classic, P38 and Discovery with new and used parts base. Am very well versed on the domestic cars amnd OBD II systems and fuel injection.
Have been turning wrenches now for 47 years and ASE certified for 24 years, Have been certified in Mercruiser and OMC I/O drivetrains.
Hope I can be of help as well as it seems the forum is knowledgeable in the Jaguar Marque. Just wish Tata would get the Jag Racing going again, like the Vintage Programs in Europe.

Am I regulated just to the one area of the site? As the Marks are not a primary interest as I am involved in all aspects of the Marque, except on the newer ones after the XJ 40s.
Absolutely not - we just point owners at their specific car section but please feel free to go, browse and post anywhere you like.
