Default New owner of 1986 XJ6

Located in Kentucky. Bought it from a guy who says it needs some "TLC." It's cooling in my garage right now waiting for some oil and coolant to be put into it. Will be posting in a bit a picture with a question of "What part is this and how do i fix it?"

Excited to be here. I want to learn everything there is to know about this car.

Tirno, welcome to the forum. Good luck finding out what your part is. You may want to post the picture of the part in the XJ6 section on this site for a quicker response. When you can, post a pic of your car. Good luck.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Welcome.
I am also from Kentucky. This is a great forum. Especially for people like us who have older jags. There's plenty of techy types here that can help if you have problems, and when you drive cars this old a problem or too will pop up every now and then. But as long as it is nothing major they are worth it. I carpool to work with two ladies and I hate it when I have to leave my car in the parking lot where we meet. Anyway, welcome and good luck.

Terry

Welcome to the forum ! I had a Series 3 XJ6 for 14 years, so I know a little bit about them. There are bound to be a few jobs to do, (there may be a lot if the previous owners have been neglectful). Ride is like a magic carpet, though.
