Hey guys. I just picked up our first Jag yesterday. I bought it for the wife but after driving it I think I might have to borrow it here and there, lol. It's a 02' x type with the 2.5 and it's an auto. We got a killer deal on it because the previous owner slammed it into the curb, bent two of the rims, and threw off the alignment(so the dealer says). I'm expecting a control arm or tie rod to be bent. Not a big deal though, I've been wrenching on stuff since I was a kid so a little work doesn't bother me and parts seem fairly cheap. We did have one little hiccup with it though on the way home from the dealer. Half way home and one of the rear brake lines blows completely out. Luckily we were able to stop the car without an incident. Hopefully the dealer makes that right but who knows. I had it in the garage tonight to check things over and noticed the bushings in the rear control arms are shot on both sides. Other then that everything is tight with the suspension. The motor runs great and trans shifts smooth. The body and paint is in amazing shape and the interior is almost perfect. I ordered the two new rims today, ordering the new control arms tomorrow, and hopefully going to have the brakes fixed by the dealer very soon. Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the help in advance, lol.
