Default New owner of older JAg

Thanks to my boyfriend I am the new owner of a 86 XJ. I am not sure if I should be happy or mad. I love the body style and the way it feels going down the road. The inside is in near mint condition with all orig. things including stereo. The bad is what has driven me to find this forum which I will post questions in the proper place ( I hope I have never been on a forum). I am sure my boyfriend will be on this forum before long. After buying me the car he has bought himself one. His runs much better then mine but has all the body and interior damage.

This car came with papers that it was in the movie A SMILE AS BIG AS THE MOON... Pretty cool

Thanks

Welcome, Kimberly. How's the body and paint on your '86? If good, then you're where I like to be with a used car - sorting out ride issues, not spending tons on appearance related issues.

This forum will help you with diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issus.

Welcome again.

Welcome to the forum Kimberly,

Good to have you with us.
I agree, I'd rather have good shiny bits, the oily bits are easier to fix, IMHO.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum.

Good to see you.

I agree with the guys above. Things to fix from the tool box are always easier than the bodyshop.

Hope the forum can help you.
