New to site. Buying 97 XJR6. need help.

Whats up guys? I just bought a 97 jaguar xjr6 on ebay. Im goin to check it out today. I Heard these models are more reliable and have less problems then the newer v8 models. It seems like I got a good deal on this car. Just wanted to know if theres anything I should check for on the car When I go to look at it. The car only has 60,000 miles on it. And I got it for $6,000.

Welcome to the forum

Looks to be a good buy, one owner. I do not know that much for this model but the straight 6 is bullet proof. The factory has a good rust coating but it wouldn't hurt to give the unders a good soaking.

Welcome, I would prefer AJL6 but a nikasil free V8 engine must be solid too

I ended up not buying the car. A little mad I drove 2 hours one way to see it. It wasnt in good shape as it looks in the pics. The headliner was sagging so the original owner tried to fix it and did a terrible job.The Seller didnt even take a pic of it its so bad. one of the headlamps was missing a bracket and was basically falling out. paint was in bad shape. And a few other things were wrong with the car. The car ran strong though and started right up. Wasnt as fast as i expected though. I used to own a 98 Grand prix GTP coupe with some light mods. And it was deffintley faster then the jag. Kinda pissed I didnt buy the car I was really looking forward to getting that car.
