New STR member intro...
It looks as if an intro post is in proper form here so here is mine.
I am looking at purchasing an Stype R from the few here local I have found and wanted to find a good forum to become a member on, I know how priceless a good community can be. I have a pretty extensive auto racing and modification back ground and have been a member of many forums throughout the years for the various performance cars I have owned.
Like many I was hit hard by the economy and had sold off my play cars but now that things are coming back (lets hope) the R looked like a lot of bang for the buck to get a weekend euro performance car to play with. I am a modder and can not really remember ever owing anything stock, so I fall in that group LOL. Most of my other car were on the extreme end of the scale but I hope to go a little more mild with the STR or at least that is where I will start.
I have spent the last few days reading up and looks like a good community and I look forward of being part of it. BTW I could be convinced to go out of state for the right car if anyone knows of a deal out there on the right car. BTW I am just north of Atlanta GA in Marietta not sure if that will show in my info here or not. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Starting to get a feel for the forum and looks like a great place. Funny how much better an experience any car can be with the right froum backing its ownership!

Hi there Jim welcome aboard the forum, good to have you here

Nice intro and thanks for the info too......
As for car hunt? Texas cars direct get a great name here and many have bought from them......There's a few members out that way who'd be glad to help out too if needed and of course our resident Legendary tech Brutal is there too!
Some great guys / DIY'ers and top techs here all friendly and willing to help if able.
There's also more than a few laughs and plenty going on in the Off Topic sections + the regional areas, so check them out.
I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can immediately enjoy all the benefits this site has to offer, enjoy the site.
Good luck and hope you find the car for you Jim

I will check that dealer out. It would be nice to get one close to Brutal and have it gone over buy a pro with STR experience for sure. I know race cars but it would be nice to have an expert in that field look over it. Money well spent I am sure.
I just missed an cherry 04 local buy a few hours so the search continues...
Thanks again for the warm welcome. I look forward to being a member here.
Jim
